MURDER BY BAYONET.
A workman named Jean Faure ha* given himself up to the police at Marseilles and confessed to killing a man with an old bavonet. On being informed of liis wife's infidelity Faure went home and, divining that his wife's lover was behind a curtain in tin* corridor, plunged a bayonet several times through the hanging and then fired three shots from his revolver into tho man's bodv. M eanwhile, his wife, in a frenzy of fear, sprang into the street from a window :u tho fourth floor and was killed on the spot.
