His Royal Highness the Duke of Connaught (Governor-General) was welcomed on his official visit to Toronto. Thousands lined the streets, which were splendidly decorated. The Duke praised the growth of the cadet movement in Canada. WHAT IMMIGRANTS MEAN. Received November 29, 12.45 p.m. OTTAWA, Nov. 28. It is estimated that £8,000,000 worth of property was brought into Canada by British immigrants in 1911. The immigrants' numbers exceed 150,000.
