RECORD ENTRIES. I'EB UNITED I'lt>:«i association;. DUXKDIX, Nov. 21). Tlie 35th annual show of the Otago Agricultural aiul Pastoral Society was opened to-day in windy woatlier. There was a large increase in total entries, there being close on 10(10. The quality ol : the stock was exceptionally good, considering the dry wintor and bad season. There was a tine exhibition of cattle, especially Ayrshire*, in which class there were 61 entries. A. Gillies, of Hampden, secured two firsts in the classes for four-year and throe-year-old cows, his Rota, ITT., which was champion here last year, being far ahead of others. Mr Gillies' Rota of Townhond. which was ohaiv.p'on at Oam am recently, was placed second. In the sheep competition there won' no merinos, but the shcu- was exceptionally strom' in I'ordor Lr>ice«ters and Ronmey Marches. Tivleod, ih is believed that the *ho'\- "f the latter is the best in. the South Island.
