STEVENSON'S PICTURES. As usual there was a very large audience at the Town Hall last evening, ■when the Stevenson Proprietary screened a fine selection of films. One of the best of these was a remarkably fine adaptation of Tennyson's poem "Enoch Arden," which was shown with a wealth of detail. "Herodias," as the title implies, was a very fine dramatisation of the Biblical story, although the production of the head of John the Paptist was a triflle startling. "The Wooing of Winifred" was a pretty and unconventional love story, and "Pussie's Cousins" gave opportunity for the introduction of some remarkably fine animal studies, and other productions were "Peninsula Sorrento," "Waterfalls of Tivoli," "Her Child** Honor," and "Stolen Skates."
