NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. *ER UNTTRT) VRFSS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Oct. 31. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association was held tto-night, Mr H. M. Gore presiding over an atetendancc of 23 delegates. The annual report and balance-sheet and the quarterly report were adopted. Mr T. Gray (Otago) moved on behalf oF the Otago Association: "That no association be entitled to exercise votes for increased strength unless application for such increase of voting power is in proper order and in the hands of the secretary of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association at least 10 days prior to the meeting at winch such increased power is exercised." The mover did not know that Otago's proposal was the best that could be formulated, but it was a step in the right direction. After being amended to permit of its becoming an amendment of the rules the notice was carried. The meeting unanimously approved of the Daylight Saving. Bill and a vote of thanks was accorded to Mr T. K. Sidey, M.P., for his efforts in connection with the Bill. Mr F. M. B. Fisher stated that he had received word from Mr Stephen Merryhew, editor of 'American Lawn Tennis,' that Learned, Beals Wright and McLauchlin would visit New Zealand in connection with the Davis Cup tournament. It was the finest team America could possibly send away. Mr Fisher explained that his information was not official. A member stated that information had been received that the men would leave America on October 4 and spend six weeks in New Zealand for practice before the tournament commenced.
