LOST FLOATING DOCK.

The loss at sea of a largo iloating dock which was being towed from Bristol to Brindisi was reported tin* other day by the tugs Sarah Jolliffe and Jane Jolliffe, which passed Holyhead on their return. Tho Iloating dock was purchased by tho Bristol Corporation about 20 years ago for £30,000. On the completion of tho Royal Edward Dock, with its line graving dock, the floating dock was sold for removal to Brindisi, and after being thoroughly renovated was towed out of Av.mmouth. It had a lifting power of 3800 tons and was 36T> ft in length, 8y ft in breath, and had a depth over sill of 19ft.
