A NEW RECORD. PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Jan. 27. The New Zealand swimming record for the half-mile was lowered by M. E. Champion to-night to 12mm Bsec. The former record of I2min 'Usee was put up by Reg. Healv. Throughout Champion swam strongly, showing that h:> was in line fettle.
