LATE KING LEOPOLD'S PLAN. Received January 27, 10 a.m. BRUSSELS, Jan. 26. The 'lndependence Beige' has obtained confirmation of the late King Leopold's plan to aid Germany to invade France. The 'Pall Mall Gazette' has published a diplomatic correspondent's statement . that the late King Leopold, of Belgium, exasperated and alarmed at the hu- ■ manitarian agitation concerning his administration of the Congo Free State, appealed for Germany's protection, and agreed to an invasion of France through Belgium. This plan, after Leopold's death, fell into the hands of persons who communicated it to Fiance. The correspondent declares that experienced chiefs in the diplomatic service of the Continent believe that the rumor is true.
