Gulland (Liberal) 1877 Duncan (Unionist) ... 1585 At the last general election Mr Gullaud polled 2035 against 1402 polled by Mr J. J. Glover (Conservative). A BREACH OF PRIVILEGE, j LONDON, July 21. On the motion of Messrs W. Dillon and John Redmond the Houso of Commons resolved that tho Duke of Norfolk was guilty of a breach of privilege J in writing to Mr A. Profumo, unionist candidate for the High Peak by-elec-tion, in tho interests of Catholic schools. Mr Asquitli, ill view of tile sessional order, said that, tho House of Commons would bo stultifying itself if it" did not take notice of the matter. Mr A. J. Balfour (Leader of tho Opposition) twitted tho Radicals with furnishing up rusty weapons of immemorial antiquity instead of preserving tho living, working elements of tlio Cont stitution.
