RAILWAY GUARD'S CASE. TEH UN mm V-JIKSS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Julv 19. At Ihe Appeal Court to-day I lie hearing of the case, John Douds r. Minister for Railways was continued. Professor Salmond, for defendants, admitted that the word "service" as used in tho Act prima facie included broken service, but eon (ended that there was sufficient indication of tho intention of tho Legislature in the Acts and 1901 aud RKW and their amendments to show that continuous service only was to he counted. Mr Skcrrctt replied and tho Court reserved judgment.
