Fifteen of those implicated have already been hanged, 800 deserve death, 1500 havo been sentenced to hard labor for life., and 80,000 to minor sentences. Tho courtmartial adds: "If-it bo decided to proceed with the punishment we will draw a cordon round the town and deal expeditiously with tho offenders, but in view of the gonoral reconciliation we recommend an amnesty." The 15 persons hanged at Constantinople for participation in the Adana massacres included tho late commander nf the garrison at Erzoroum, a sheikh, two colonels and some soldiers.
