CHRISTCHURCH MARKETS. PEB UNITED TRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, March 6. The advance in the wheat market at Home and in Australia has been reflected locally, and growers are now holding out for the prices obtainable before the recent fall took place, 4s Id and 4s 2d being their limit. There was a. good deal of wheat put into store during the lull in the market, and growers who have thus secured their grain are now in a position to hold. Offerings aro limited and sellers are firm in their ideas of value. Among t.lio sales reported are 1000 bushels of Hunters at 4s. COO bushels of Tuscan and Pearl at 4s Lid, 4600 bushels of Tuscan and 1300 bushels of Hunters at 4s 2d, at country stations. Oats are still firm at quotations in force, and only small quantities are being offered. A line of 1000 bushels of Cartons has been placed at, 2s 2d, .500 bushels of Duns at 2s Id, and other lots of milling Cartons at 2s lid to 2s 2d at country stations.

Chaff is still difficult to procure, and until growers are satisfied with the price offered supplies are likely to he scarce, as the machines have not yet got to work. The price offered is now £3 12s 6d at country stations Ryegrass is still in good demand, and thero is a scarcity of clover seed, cowgrass having reached a higher price than for some years.
