GORE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The fortnightly meeting o£ the Gore Borough Council was held last evening. Cr. Green, in the absence of the Mayor (Mr Foppelwell), occupied the •..•hair, and there were also present: l-'is. Burrows, Faitt, Hartley, S.pedL'.i. M'Farlane, and J. Mac Gibbon. Correspondence.

Hie Inspector of Stock wrote drawing the council's attention to noxious weeds growing on its reserves, and asked that immediate steps be taken for their removal.—On the motion of Crs. Burrows and M'Farlane, it was resolved that the Stock Department be asked to put on men od the Croydon Domain to keep down the weeds.

Dr Ogstoii wrote expressing the opinion that there was nothing to present outhouses being connected with the main sewer.
