PROPOSED RE-ENGAGEMENT OF MR A. M. PATERSON. A scheme majority of the Executive- of ihe Southland Fanners' Union where!iy members will be able to secure the advantages of Mr A. M. Paterson's services as veterinary surgeon and lecturer under most favorable conditions. It is proposed to pay Mr Patcrson £IOO per annum as a retaining fee, in return for which he undertakes to give members of the Union advico free, and his services at 10 per cent, reduction upon ordinary charges. Nonmembers would be charged as for advice and full rates for attendance. Tn addition, Mr Paterson also undertakes to give lectures to members of the Union in the different centres at intervals to be arranged suls-queutly. To facilitate the carrying out of the plan proposed (if adopted), Mr Paterson would take ail office in the same building at Invereargill as that occupied In' the Provincial Secretary <o -,lu.
