GORE DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.

The monthly mooting of the Gore School Committee was hole! Inst evening, and was attended by Messrs A. Martin (chairman), (!. J, Anderson, E. Ji. lJiiKt. A. J. Ciibbs, 11. L (iiri.slie, and das. Turnbull. The headmaster reported the attendance as follows:—On roll, 250 boys; 22>i girls—total, -179. Average attendance, 321 boys; 203.6 girlstotal, 42.J.3. The Secretary of the . Education Hoard wrote announcing temporary appointments to the stall' of the school rendered vacant by the resignations of Mr E. MiCay and Miss M'Ewan, and the promotion of Miss Wilson. The Misses K. It was resolved that the annual break-up lake place on Wednesday, December 21, and that the hobby show and sale of work promoted bv the pupils in aid of the school funds take place on that day.
