At the Gore Court this niomiug before Mr G. Cruickshank, S.M., for driving horses with sore shoulders,, W. Gutschlag was fined 20s and costs Us Thomas Dove for permitting a horse to wander was fined Is and costs 7s, and Mrs Preeco for permitting a cowto wander was fined 5s and 7s costs. Eventually the hearing was adjourned to the Bth December, a case to be stated for the Supreme Codrt, to be presented without delay, defendants to deposit £lO as security for costs on appeal. Plaintiff's costs in the Warden's Court were assessed alt £7 7s 3d. Mr Bowler appeared for the Mataura Borough Council, Mr Inder for the contributing- dredging companies, and Mr Nenvc for defendants.
