HOME AND ABROAD.
Dr Thomas Barclay, interviewed by the 'Daily Express,' advocates the cessation o'f mutual fault-finding in British and German newspapers. Ho found on a recent visit that business circles in Germany desire better relations with Britain, and German* newspapers share the feeling. The " Daily Telegraph' spontaneously makes a similar suggestion. Sergeants Klusmaier and Albana, of the 29th German lufantry, havo been sentenced to twelve and four and a.half months respectively at Berlin for 100 cases of maltreatment. Klusmaier knocked men's heads against iron bedsteads, kicked soldiers in the face, and another in the stomach. A third received a tremendous blow in the face with the scabbard of a sword.
