INVERCARGILL STOCK SALE. The Invercargill Btook agents report having held their fortnightly sale on Tuesday, when a considerable number of cattle were penned, but the number of sheep forward was considerably below the average. The sale dragged throughout, and several lots were passed unsold, and vendors who did sell had to accept prices considerably below those lately ruling. Fat Cattle—Prime bullocks £8 10s to £9 17s 6d, medium £7 10s to £8 Ss, light £6 to £6 ISs, prime cows £8 to £9 Ss, medium £7 to £7 10s, light £4 ISs to £S ISs. Store Cattle—Two and 3yr-old steers £S to £6 ss, 2yr-old steers and heifers £3 10s to to £4 ss, yearlings £2 15s to £3 17s 6d, calves 22s 6d to 355.

Fat Sheep—Prime heavy wethers 13s 6d to 14s 9d, prime heavy ewes 13s 6d to 14s 6d, medium lis 6d to 12s, light 8s 6d to 10s. A choice pen of pure Border Leicester ewes brought 17s 3d. Fat lamba lis 3d, lis, 10s 3d and down to 9s 3d.

Store Sheep—Aged ewes 3s to 4s 6d, twotooth wethers and maiden ewes 10s 3d, good store lambs 6s 9d to 7s 6d, small 4s.
