Those having any experience of local bodios will readily concede that they are frequently called upon to wrestle with difficult problems in orthography. In many cases letters received are refreshingly outspoken, and jn others unconsciously humorous. Coming within the latter category was a communication dealt with by the Southland County Council at its meeting yesterday, from a manufacturer of bird poison, not a resident of this district.
