A shocking fatality occurred at the Falmerston North railway station yesterday morning, Alexander Buchan, head storeman, being run over by a shunting train. Death was almost Jnstantaneous. The accident occuvred while deceased was passing between carriages, which were in motion. His right, leg was severed at the knee, and practically at the hip, and the left leg was also practically severed at the hip. Deceased expired before he was ex'ricated.
