SCHOOL COMMISSIONERS' LAND.

TO THE EDITOB. Sib, —Allow me through your columns to call the attention of your Waikaia readers to the fact that in the report of the last meeting of the School Commissioners it was stated that the District Land Registrar intended to issue a title to the School Commissioners for sections 80 and 81, block I, Wendon. I would point out that once this title is issued to the Commissioners there will be trouble in getting mining privileges granted, and the land is well known to be auriferous. In their own interest they would do well to take steps to prevent the title being issued, and thus block up a large area of the auriferous country.—l am, etc., W. F. Inmsr.
