The Delroy Company.

A combination o! artistes who come to us with a high reputation, is that of which Miss Ada Dslroy is at the head. The dates fixed for the limited Gore season are Friday and Saturday next, 20th and 21st inst. The Company are at present playing to crowded houses at the Princess Theatre, Dunedin, and the fame they have already achieved in the theatrical world should be a sufficient guarantee of crowded houses on both nights of their stay in Gore. Speaking on their merits as entertainers the ' Otago Daily Times ' has this to say about the clever combination: — "There was a numerous attendance at the Princess Theatre last night, when a change of programme was put forward by Miss Ada Delroy's Company. That the Company have hit the popular taste is evidenced from the continued good houses they are attracting, and the manner io which they are received. Last night few o£ the performers were allowed to escape without appearing a second time, and even then there was a strong disposition on the part of the audience to make a still further demand. Miss Delroy created a most favorable impression in every instance that she appeared, and her song was very pretty and graceful, the general effect being heightened by the aid of the limelight. Mr Bell is a capital entertainer, and those present seemed as .if they would never tire of his oddities. He also imparted a lot of fun to the farcical sketch that was given. In Miss Simmons the Company possess a vocalist of more than ordinary ability, and her solos met with la vish applause. As a facial comedian Mr Ford is clever, and his sketches met with great favor. Madame Bell repeated her performance, and answered a large number of questions, in one instance giving the number of a bank note all but correctly, thi only inaccuracy being the final figure of 6. Mr Bergin and Mr Phillips assisted during the eveniug, as did also Me H. Gilbert, who is an addition to the Company." The box plan has been opened at Messrs Boyne Bros', establishment, where seats may be reserved.
