General Notices. SOUTHLAND BOARD OP EDUCATION. MAITLAND VILLAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT. IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that, pursuaut to tho provisions of " The Education Act, 1877," tho Education Board of the District of Southland does hereby CONSTITUTE all the land within the Boundaries hereafter defined, and which comprises part of the Waikaka, Chatton, Waikaka Valley and certain other lands, to • be a NEW SCHOOL DISTRICT, to be called the "MAITLAND VILLAGE SCHOOL DISTBICT," and does fix the Boundaries of the said School District to be as follows— that is to say : — That a New School District be constituted, to be called the " Maitland Village School District," and that the Boundaries of the said School District be adopted as follows— that is to say : — Commencing at the South-East corner of Section 12, Block 11, Chatton Survey District, thence due West, following a road-line to the Waikaka Stream ; thence following the South boundary of Section 19, Block I, Chatton, to the South- West corner of said Section 19 ; thence North, following the West boundaries of Sections 19, 20, Block I, and Sections 1, 2, 13 and 14, Block III ; thence East, followiug the Southern boundaries of Sections 18 and 17, Block 111, to the Waikaka Stream ; thence North along the course of said Stream to the North-West of Seotion 3, Blook XIII ; thence East, following the North boundary of Sections 3 and 2 to the Eastern branch of the Waikaka Stream ; thence North, following said Stream to the Noi'th-West corner of Section 3, Block IX ; thence due East to tbe boundary of Clutlia County; thence due South to the starting point. And IT IS HEREBY FUBTHEB PUBLICLY NOTIFIED, that the Constitution of the said Sohool District shall take effect on the first day of January, 1897. By order of the Board. JOHN NEILL, 666 d . Secretary.
