KAIWERA.
I regret to hear that Mr Jas. Elliott injured himself rather severely in the back by lifting a heavy weight. ' He was assisting to lift a set of disc harrows through a gaie when he severely strained himself. Mr Elliott is confined to bed. Oi • esteemed teacher, Mr A. Clark, has received the appointment as headmaster to the North Forest Hill school, near Winton. Of cou -se that means losing his services ns teacher in the Kai- ' wera and Slopedown schools, which he has worthily filled for over three years. _ Although only half-time schools, the scholars made wonderful progress. He will be much missed by both parents and children. During his stay, Mr Clark made himself very popular with every person, and at concerts he was a host in himself, being a singer of the first rank. - I congrati ate the Forest Hill people on their- choice — their gain is our loss.
