Present — Messrs Gait (chairman), Brown, ' Ward, Waddoll, Warden, and Mitchell. j The clerk of the Wyndham Road Board asked whether the proposed footbridge over the Mimibau stream near the Wairekiki school was on the boundary of the two Itoad Districts. — Received, the clerk having replied that the site was on the boundary. I I The Department of Agriculture (Invercar- i ' gill) drew the Board's attention to the spread • of gorse aud broom on the roadline within ' the district, asking that immediate steps be | taken to remove the nuisance. — Deceived. The Southland County Council wrote notifying that the following £ for £ subsidies had been granted : — Crawford's road, £40 ; East Waiarikiki, £10 ; Valley road, £10; Shanks' road, £20. — Received. The following accounts were passed for payment: — A. Mason, £1 10s; F. Powell, £3 15s ; A. Evans, £9 7s. The following tenders were disposed of : — Contract 250 (Taylor's Eoad), Smith and Teller, £33 ; 260 (Lauderdale Bush Road), Wm. Folster, £11 14s 9d ; 264 (Davidson's Road), \V.
