DUNEDIN HORSE MARKET.
Messrs Wright, Stbfhenson and Co. report as follows :— Our sale on Saturday was again a very smalt one. and as there were no fresh horses advertised the attendance was by no means large. The horses forward were composed of about equal numbers of draught and light harness horses, none of which were first-class. The demand for all sorts was slow, but in view of the special sale to be held next week, we did not expect there would be very much iDquiry. We quote : Heavy draughts (4yrs to 6yrs), L2O to 1,25 ; do (Byrs to lOyrsJ. M 2 to Lift; medium draughts (4yrs to 6yrs), Ll4 to 1/18 ; light nod small do, L 8 to 1/12 ; aged and inferior do, L4to L 7; upstanding spring cart horses (young and sound), 1/12 to 1/16 j active sprint; van horses (do), Ll4 to 1/18 ; upstanding backs and harness horses, LlO to Ll4 ; aged and inferior do, L2to L 5.
