Messrs J, Dickson and Alex. Peter bave been returned as members ef the Knapdale Boad Board for Otama subdivision. The inquest in connection with the Winton tragedy on the bodies of the infants was opened at Invercargill on Tuesday, and adjourned until the 28th inst,, urders being made for tbe interment of the bodies. Minnie Dean was brought np at Milton yesterday, end remanded to appear at InvercargiU on the 23 rd mat., and Chas. Dean, who was brought before the Court at Invercargil', waa summarily dealt with. W. A, MeGuire, a well known oitissnJfot MoKay, Ohio, ia of the opinion that thd__9 nothing as good for children troubled trWh colds or oroup as Chamberlain's Cough Bemedy. He haß used it in his family tor several years with the best results and always keeps a bottle of it in tbe house. After having la grippe, he was himself troubled with a severe cough.
