Plains Railway, as appearing in the Valuation-roll for the County of'Soiithland (that being the valua-tion-roll for the purpose of locial rating within the' Railway- district) in force on the 31st day of March 1884 ; such rate to be for the year ending. the thirty-first day of March 1884— that is to say for the period commencing th« first day of April 1883 and ending on the 31st day of March 1884, and to be payable; in two'equal instalments or sums,one of such instalments to be payable on the thirtieth day of JUNE 1884. and the other of such instalments to be payable on the thirty-first day of DECEMBER 1884, and to be app'ied to make up in part the deficiency between the profits of the Company and the guaranteed interest on the cost .of the said Railway, as provided by " The District Railways Act 1877" and the Amendments thereof.
