Sis,— ln yoas paper of to-day V date I notice an account of: a case of suicide which occurred here on Wednesday night, in which you state th it "the man's name was Peter.
Matheson, " who lately had some connection With the lignite pft^'on the Wftimea Eitate."
His nitne was Peter Matheson but ho tuccr hid anything to do with the lignite pit here. Peter M:ith«son who worked the lignite pit is in perfect h»alth at the present time, <n and wa* one of the jury at the inquest to-day. — 1 am, kc, JV'M'ACGZBBOX. Waimea Hstate, Oct. 5, 1883.
