The officers of the 6tli (Inniskillen Dragoons must ho a pleasant set. It seems that the Times of Natal published something which hurt the susceptibilities of some of these gallant fellows who are at present stationed at Pietermaritzburg. : An apology having been refused, four of t-jem, Captains Ilimington, Yardloy and Grey, and Lieutenant''Herbert, went to the private house of the editor, Mr Watson, and, on his declining to sign a document presented to him, made an attemp) to tar and feather him in his own drawing room. Mr Watson, however, caught Yardlev, who carried the brush, by the throat, and succeeded in getting the door open and calling assistance. Mrs and Miss Watson then appeared on the scene, and seemed to have engaged in a plucky struggle with tlio bold dragoons, until Mrs Watson was knocked out of timo by a blow an the chest, and Miss Watson fainted. The pail of tar, which was handed through the window, was naturally upset during’ tLe encounter, and its contents wero liberally distributed over tlio curtains and furniture and the women's dresses.
