Sad Fatal Accident.

Waipukurau, May 27

S. J. Baker, a brewer, well known in Napier, Wellington, and Auckland, was killed yesterday. He had been on a visit to Waipawa, and when in the act of mounting his horse, which he had recently bought, was thrown heavily on his head, lacerat ng the scalp dreadfully, and was rendered unconscious. Ho recovered shortly afterwards, but again relapsed, and died at 1 o’clock. Ho was universally respected.
