A young man named Prennan has been sentenced to four years’ imprisonment for the part he played in concealing the birth of an illegitimate child of which he was the putative father. The father of the girl had Prennan arrested for forgery, and the latter falsely swore out of revenge that the girl and her mother had murdered his illegitimate child. The case then resolved itself into one of concealment of birth and the guilty action from the evidence adduced was fastened on Breuuan.

A mass Dieeting was held here to-night on the Chinese.
