RETURN MATCH, ENGLAND V. OTAGO. Per Press Association. Dunedin, May 2., The attendance at the roturn football match England v Otago was equal to that of Saturday. Tho weather was lovely, and the ground in good order. Play was much lightor and not quite so fast in tho first spell, especially whon Otago had decidedly the best of it, the play being oftener jn tho Colors’ quarters. Neither side scored, however. Tho Blues played up splendidly in tho second spell, and soon obtained a try, from which a goal was kicked by Thomson. One of their halfbacks was injured shortly afterwards, and had to retire, and although Otago held their own for sometime, the absence of one of their best hacks began to toil, and tho Englishmen got a try, from which a goal was kicked. Tho Otago men tried hard to score in the remaining few minutes, but they were able to do no more than hold their own, and the game ended in England scoring a second victory, by 4 points to 3. Were it not for the accident, the general ©pinion is that Otago would have won. Keoth, though not quite recovered, played splendidly, aS did Thomas, Otago’s full-back, and other Blues, julC'Jtfk the Englishmen played well, t'jij showed i nothing like the superiority of the first I match.
