LATEST FIRE.
About 3 o’clock this morning a fire broke out in a building off Maxwell Road known as the Phoenix Brewery which was totally destroyed. A four-roomed cottage adjoining, owned and occupied by Mrs Barry, was completely gutted. Both buildings, wo undorstond, were insured in the Royal. The Fire Brigade wore quickly on the spot, and although tho fire had a good hold on tho cottage, the flames were soon quelled.
