RULES AND REGULATIONS. No en ry will bo received except on tho condition "that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, their decision oil all points connected with carrying out this Programme to bo final. Any person entering a protest shall deposit with the Secretary £2 2s, and this sum shall he absolutely forfeited to tho Pelorus Jockey fund if the Stewards find such protest was a frivolous one. No person allowed to enter a horso unless a subscriber of one pound to the race fund. All nominations to be accompanied by fees, name, age and description of Horse, and Colors of riders must be in tho hands of the Secretary not later than 5 p.m. ou the 14th of January, 1888. Weights to be declared on Monday, 23r‘l of January. Acceptances 'close on Friday, 4th of February, 1888, at 5 p.m. Three horses to ucr opt, or no race. District horse shall mean any horse that has been resident in the Pelorus Riding ror three consecutive months previous to he race meeting and owned by a person ivho has resided in the said riding during die same period. Any jockey riding except in the Colors ?ntercd will be fined £2. Horses for the Maiden Hurdles to be at he Post at 11 a.m. sharp. Tho Rules of the Marlborough Racing dlub will he strictly adhered to.
