Arrived, 9.20 a.m. Rotorua, from Pic.ton . Sailed, 11. 40a.m.—Rotorua, for iicton The Arawa arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday. Sho brings 1700 tons of cargo, 800 tons of which arc for Dunedin, besides 167 passengers, having landed 350 tons of cargo and 00 passengers at Hobart. Two deaths occurred on December 9 —L. M'Neal, a third-class passenger, committed suicide by jumping overpoard, and on January 7 H. Francis, a second-class passenger, died from inflammation of the lungs. The Arawa loft Plymouth on December 3rd, TenorifPe o the Bth, landing 21 seloon passengers ; reached Capetown and loft again on December 24th, and bad fine weather until January 7th, when sho encountered a heavy westerly gale with high seas, which held until making the Tasmanian coast ; arrived at Hobart on January 12tli fit 2 p.tn., binding 00 passengers and 350 tons of cargo ; left again fit noon on the 1 3th ; on the 15tli encountered high seas and thick foggy weather until passing the Fluff, at noon yesterday, arriving in port at 0 a.m.
