Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Blenheim, as under : Saturday, December 24. Dor Nelson—Per ss Grafton, at 8 p.m. For Wellington, Southern Ports and Australian Colonies—Per ss Hawea and ss Wairarapa, at 8 p.m. Picton—Daily at 9.00 a.m. and 3.15 p.m. (except Saturday, when they close at .30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m). Grove, Kenepuru and Manaroa (via Picton) —Thursday, at 3.15 p.m. Havelock, Kail in a Okaramio, Canvastown and Deep G.eek—Tuesday and Friday, at 10.30 a.m. Awatore, Kekeniugu, Kaikoura and Wairau—Saturday, at 10 p.m. Awaturc and Moleswortli —Friday, at 10.30 a.m. Pori Uiulerwoi d (via Picton) —Every alternate Thursday, at 3.15 p.m. Renwiektown and Wairau Valley Tuesday and Friday, at 10.30 a.m. POST AND TELEGRAPH HOLIDAY NOTICES. On Monday, the 2Gth of December, and Monday, the 2nd of January, the Postal Branch will be closed. On Tuesday, the 27tli inst, the Postal Branch will he open fiom 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. only. Mails usually despatched on Monday will in the above instances close on the Saturday evening previous at 8 p.m. On Tuesday, the 27th inst., one complete delivery will he made by letter carrier, commencing at 8 a.m. On Saturday, the 24th of December, and Saturday, December 31, there will be a delivery at the counter from 7 till S p.m. of letters generally taken by letter carrier.
On Monday and Tuesday, the 20th and 27th inst., and Monday, January 2nd, 1888, the Telegraph Branch will open from 0 till 10 a.m. andf rom 7 till 8 p.m. On Monday, the 26tli inst., the Telephone Exchange will open only from 0 till 10 a.m., but on all tliu other days above named the Telephone Exchange will he open as usual.
