RULES AND REGULATIONS. No enGy will bo received except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall he deoided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, their decision on all points connected With carrying out this Programme to be final. Any person entering a protest shall deposit with the Secretary £2 2s, and this sum shall bo absolutely forfeited to the Pelorus Jockey fund if the Stewards find such protest was a frivolous one. No person allowed to enter a horse unless a subscriber of one pound to the raeo fund. All nominations to be accompanied by fees, name, age and description of Horse, and Colors of riders must be iu the hands of the Secretary not later than 5 p.m. on the lfth of January, 1888. Weights to be declared on Monday, 23rd of January. Acceptances close on Friday, -Ith of February, 1888, at 5 p.m. Three horses to accept, or no race. District horse shall mean any horse that has been resident in the Pelorus Riding for three consecutive, months previous to the rftep mooting and owned by a person \yho baa resided in the said riding during the same period.
