CONDITIONS OF FACING. 1. Tlie race may be rowed or sailed, as the case may be,accordiug to the accepted laws of boat racing in England. 2. That all owners of boats entering for the Regatta must be subscribers of not Ipsa thag ten shillings to the funds. 3. The sailing course will be from the wharf round Mabel Island and bach', leaving all marks on the port hand. Twioo round will be twice round the same course. 4. In the rowing races Mabel Island to be left on the port hand. 5. Two boats to start for each event | or no race, and three or no second prize, j 6. The Regatta Committee will ballot 1 for places for all boats, and such boats must take the places allotted to them. Rost entries will be placed in the order entered arid after prior entries. 7. Sailing boats will start from auchoy with head sails down. 8. Protests will not bo received unless in writing, am] accompanied with a deposit of IQs, whioh will bo returned if protest allowed, and forfeited if not. No protest will be received after the day of the race and the decisian of the Regatta Committee will be final. 9. In Handicap Races each boat to start when told to do so by the scarier and no handicaps Will be announced beforehand Any boat’ called back by the. starter on aceouiint of a false start will not be allowed to start until after the last boat, IQ. The Regatta Committee will have tho riglit to disqualify any boats for an infringement of any regulation. 11. Each competing boat must carry a distinguishing flag. 12.
