MAIL NOTICE.

The next English and European Mail via San Francisco will close at this oflicc on THURSDAY, the 20th day of December, at 3.15 p.m., being due in London on Eobruary 0, 1888. POST AN 1/ TELEGRAPH HOLIDAY NOTICES. On Monday, the 20th of December, and Monday, the 2nd of January, the Postal Branch will bo closed. On Tuesday, the 27th inst, the Postal Branch will be open from 0 a.m. till 10 a.m. only. Mails usually despatched on Monday will in the above instances close on the Saturday evening previous at 8 p.m. On Tuesday, the 27tli inst., one complete delivery will he made by letter carrier, commencing at 8 a.m. On Saturday, the 21th of December, and Saturday, December 81, there will be a delivery at the counter from 7 till 8 p.m. of letters generally taken by letter carrier.

On Monday and Tuesday, the 20th and 27th inst.., and Monday, January 2nd, 1888, the Telegraph Branch will open from 9 till 10 a.in. andf rum 7 till 8 p.m.

On Monday, the 2(ith inst., the Telephone Exchange will open only from 9 till 10 a.m., but on all the other days above named the Telephone Exchange will be open as usual. ALEX. LIVINGSTON, Chief Postmaster.
