Gisborne Oil Wells.
Per Press Association. Wellington, Dec 21. Mr Weaver, who has just returned from the South Pacific Company’s oil wells, reports the pipes to still be full of oil. A contract has been let for the erection of a new derrick, and the work is at preset proceeding, Mr Woaver leaves for Sydney on Sunday, to interview the directors in the matter. A meeting was held this afternoon, when about onefourth of the shareholders in the Company wore present, and the following resolution was carried unanimously That the director.', take every means in their power ta further develop the present boro, aud afford such storage as may be deemed sufficient to hold a paying quantity, say about 2000 barrels.
