Payable Gold on the West, Coast.

Mr O'Conor, M.If.R., has received telegram stating that payable gold has hem found on Mokihiuu Flat, with two feet of wash dirt, an 40 feet sinking, and that the proprietors have applied for a lease. Some 15 years ago a large rush took place to Mokihinui, and a quantity of gold was obtained from this Flat, but suddenly the !< ad was lost, and after numerous fn 'tless efforts to recover if, the Flat was abandoned bv all except the present applicants, who remained upon liny spot, and from lime to time joined avain with different parties in search for tho lost lead, which at last they have suc- < •I'dod in Hridiri'r.
