WHEREAS certain lands at or near Blenheim on the Pic-ton-Hurunui Railway have been taken for public works, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of the third day of November, 1887. Now, therefore, I, Edwin Mitchelson, the Minister for Public Works, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do hereby' appoint the Public Works Office at Wellington to be the public office at which persons having any estate or interest in any lands taken as aforesaid, or injuriously affected by the said Proclamation, or suffering any damage in. respect of such lands from the exercise of the powers given under tho said Acts shall serve their claims, pursuant to “ The IWc.
