At a meeting of the Harbor Board this evening rates of towage temporarily fixed were agreed to. They range from 50 to 70 per cent lower than rates charged by tho tug proprietors, and it is anticipated that they will l>e further reduced when tlio Board review the whole question after tho New Year. The object of the Board is to charge only so much as will cover working expenses and leave a small sum to provide for wear and tear and sinking fund.
