THE VOGELIAN EPISODE.
(From Our Special Correspondent.) Wellington, Nov 17. Following up his promise made last night, Sir Julius Vogel this afternoon stated that ho wished to bring down a series of resolutions reflecting ou the recent affair, and he asked whether the Prcn 'or was prepared to give hiin facilities to bring on his resolutions shortly, or whether he should move them on going into supply, The Premier stated that he could give no reply just then, but he would consider the matter, and notified his intention of moving the resolutions as follows on going into supply, provided an earlier opportunity is not afforded House does not concur in the ruling of tho Speaker that the expression “Want of knowledge of the world, of men or of manners ” ns a disorderly one (2) that this House does not concur in the ruling of tho Speaker that the expression “ Obvious want of knowledge, and of usages among persons who have been accustomed io mix in good society ” is a disorderly ore (J that in tho opinion of this House standing order 393 should be amended so that the Speaker could not, without tho wish of tho House expressed by a vote (without debate) have power to clear the House of strangers (4) that in tho opinion of thi House it is irregular to allow a resolution to he put about words uttered by an lion, member ur'ess the words are taken flow a in accordance with the provisions of the standing orders (•">) that in the opimon of this House the Speaker exceeded his powers in warning Sir Julius "Vogel on Tuesday, loth November (0) that in the opinion of this House the Speaker exceeded his rowers in ordering Sir Julius Vogel to leave the House on Tuesday, 1 oth November.
