THE WOOL SALES. (Reuter’s Tel grams.) Melbourne, Jan. 6. Private advices from London state that there is an increasing inquiry for wool and that the market is stronger. The New Zealand Loan and Agency Company held their usual weekly sale this afrernoon to a fu 1 attendance of buyers. The b ddinga werß spirited throughout. Three thou,and three hundred and thirty bales were offered, of which 2735 bales w :re sold at satisfactory prices. Prices generally are much firmc than before the holidays, though without any established advance Greasy wool soi l up to 10Jd ; scoured at 7£ i ; ft n 1 washed fleece to 14^1.
