The s 'pport wo have rec ived from the public, combined with the ability and talent exhibited by Miss Meredith (~ ho has charge), has now Bet this department on a firm footing, and we are turning out a larger number of dresses than we it possible to do. We have satisfied ourselves that w> wore judging the requirements of the district right ! v when we determined to build and fully stock one of the best premises in the colony, and are quite satisfied th.u (allowing fi r tightness of the money mark t which just now undoubtedly exists all over the colon-.) our efforts to supply the public of Marlborough *ith what they require at reasonable rates will receive the recognitions we expected and looked for. We mav say thus far we hive received a’l we expected, and are sanguine we shall •on itiue to do so as long as we can give the greatest comfort and convenience, combined with the largest choice and best value, all of which we are now doing. Ladies who have not yet given us a trial are requested to do so, and we guarantee to give them satis* f m'ion.
