The support we have rec ived from the public, combined with the ability and talent exhibited by Miss MerpdiTH (who has charge), has now set this department'on a firni footing, and we are turning out a larger number of dresses than we thought it possible to do. . We have satisfied ourselves that we were judging the requirements of the district right'y when we determined to build and fully stock one of the best premises in the colony, and are quite satisfied that, (allowing for tightness of the money market which just now undoubtedly exists all over the colony) our effor<B to supply the publio of Marlborough with what they require at reasonable rates will receive the recognitions we expected and looked for. We may say thus far we have received a ! l we expected, and are sanguine we shall continue to do so as long as we can give the greatest comfort and cmvenience, com im-d with the larger l choice and best value, all of which we are now doing. Ladies who hare not yet given us a trial are requested to do so, and we guarantee to give them satis faction.
