The Marine Board ei quiry into lie caus-* of, and circumstances attending, ih* wreck of the Ly->e-moon was commenced to-day. The evidence of Captain Webber was taken. From his statement regarding the course he had directed tho 'bird officer to steer it was elicited that the slightest diviation from the set course would result in the wreck of tli 3 vessel. Later, In the course of the inquiry which is being held to-day, by the Murine Board, into the cireninstance-* at’ending the loss <>f Hi' Ly-e -mom, after Captain Weboer had given his eviien-e, a -d during the examinilon of Mr Fotheringhan, the t .ird ffioer, i was atiiiou ic d that the judge had g-aiiteci an injunction, preventing t e board from proceeding further with taking evidence, as the deponents were under a criminal charge of manslaughter. Ihe inquiry was consequently adjourned until Monday next.
