Edmonds, C. Bush and L. Brewer, of the staff, together with their respective fiancees, Miss Simpson (Matamata), Miss p, Peterson (Okproire) and Miss V. Bartelson (Te Aroha)', all of whom are shortly to b© married. ; Mr. w. E. Gundy (postmaster) presided, and in a brief speech handed to each couple a beautiful teaset as a mark of respect, at the same time offering each the best of good wishes for the future. Messrs. M. T. Hunt and H. Stone also added their quota in support of the chairman's remarks. * The recipients suitably responded. • The balance of the evening was spent in dancing.
