POSTAL QFficiaLs HQNpyREQ On Tuesday evening members or the Matamata post office stafE and friends to the number of 60 assembled- in the Fire Brigade Hall to pay their respects of Messrs A. Edmonds, C. Bush and L. Brewer, of the staff, together with their respective fiancees, Miss Simpson (Matamata), Miss p, Peterson (Okproire) and Miss V. Bartelson (Te Aroha)', all of whom are shortly to b© married. ; Mr. w. E. Gundy (postmaster) presided, and in a brief speech handed to each couple a beautiful teaset as a mark of respect, at the same time offering each the best of good wishes for the future. Messrs. M. T. Hunt and H. Stone also added their quota in support of the chairman's remarks. * The recipients suitably responded. • The balance of the evening was spent in dancing.
